Winter fairy tale in Suzdal: photo shoot in Russian folk costumes
A trip to a Russian fairy tale: why go to Suzdal in winter. Suzdal in winter is a place where time slows down. The air becomes crystal clear, soft snow wraps wooden towers and golden church tops, and the silence, broken only by the creaking of runners, takes you centuries back. This is not just a city, but a living open-air museum, an ideal setting for shooting in the spirit of a Russian fairy tale.
I live and rent in Yekaterinburg, but I often travel in search of inspiration and unique shots. This trip to Suzdal was special: I went there not only as a photographer, but also as a participant in a photo tour led by a wonderful master By Elena Shumilova. It was an amazing experience to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the place and create together.
Filming took place in early December, and we were a little upset about the lack of snow. However, the fog enveloping the city has added a special atmosphere to our photos.
Photo shoot in folk costumes:
How magical it was to make a series in authentic Russian outfits right on the snowy streets of Suzdal. Russian folk costumes are a real art, embodied in fabrics and patterns. Each element — be it a fur coat, a dress, a cocoanut or a shawl — tells its own unique story about the time, place and the craftsmen who created this beauty.
Suits can be rented in Suzdal. Our girls, dressed in these outfits, looked like real heroines of Russian fairy tales and epics.
Vintage-style family and children’s photography
Winter is a magical time when we can experience the joy of childhood again. I remember how we came home with lumps of snow on our mittens, and how long it took us to dry our pants, which were soaked after skiing downhill, on a warm stove.
This is the best time to capture the images, the delight and admiration in the eyes of the children who saw the snow for the first time. The pictures show Yulechka and Nikita
New Year’s photo shoot
It is probably the only place in Suzdal where you can see a horse by looking out the window at the street. It’s like this place is made for magical shots. Take a look at Masha’s magical New Year’s adventures in an ancient Russian city. A children’s Christmas photo shoot with a Christmas tree will be the most pleasant memory for the whole family.
The charm and emotion are evoked by the shots of kids wrapped in vintage fur coats and Orenburg down shawls, carrying a Christmas tree on antique sleds. A winter photo shoot in a Russian city with a history will give you will have unforgettable warm emotions.
Immediately after my arrival, I bought a luxurious Pavlovo Posad shawl and Orenburg down stoles, I have a samovar, so I can arrange a wonderful photo shoot in the Russian style.
If you are looking for unique photo shoots in Yekaterinburg, where there are also many architectural monuments, I will be happy to help you capture the brightest moments of your life. Yekaterinburg offers a variety of scenic locations that are ideal for creating unforgettable photos.
