French Autumn in Tyumen: An Elegant Story with Writer Mila Romanova
Autumn is the season for coziness, warmth, and beautiful photographs. But how do you combine Parisian chic with Siberian nature? The heroine of this photoshoot — Tyumen-based writer and poet Mila Romanova — proved that France begins not with a plane ticket, but with the right mood.
Beyond the Cliché
When people say “French style, ” many imagine a beret and a baguette. Mila and I decided to add irony and depth to this story. Yes, there was a beret. Yes, there was a baguette. But the real statement piece was a red hat.
Red is the color of courage. It demands character from the heroine and, from the photographer, the ability to catch the perfect light. In an autumn park in Tyumen, this accent shone brightly: golden leaves, a classic coat, and a bold red hat that speaks of female individuality louder than any words.
The Magic of Black: Classic Elegance with a Veil
But French style has another side — understated elegance. And here, we couldn’t resist the charm of a little black dress and a flowing black coat.
This look is about quiet luxury. Nothing extra, just silhouette, texture, and a mysterious hat with a veil. It lifts a corner of the curtain: who is she? What is she dreaming of? Where is she hurrying along the autumn alley?
The veil adds a cinematic quality. This is no longer just a walk — it’s a frame from a black-and-white film. Mila seems to have stepped out of a French novella — reserved, refined, unreachable.
Perfect proof: you don’t need bright colors to look luxurious. You just need the perfect fit, the right light, and an accessory that becomes the highlight.
The Courage to Be Yourself
For me as a photographer, shooting with Mila was a creative gift. When a client trusts you, stiffness disappears. We weren’t just taking photos against maple trees. We were living the story of a woman who remembers the taste of childhood, values friendship, and knows how to find joy in small things.
Look at these images: here she spins in her red hat, her skirt blooming like a bell. Here she walks through the park, thoughtfully holding a baguette. And here — frozen in her black coat, the veil trembling in the wind.
These are real emotions. The kind that bring clients to a photographer.
Autumn as a Backdrop
The city has incredible light in October. Soft, “caramel.” We didn’t go to Paris — we found it right here:
- The golden alley in the Park
- A bench that begs you to sit down with a book
- Coffee with cinnamon in hand
- Quiet streets where leaves rustle under your heels
Proof that the perfect photoshoot doesn’t require a travel budget. You just need a stylist, good light, and a brave heroine.
Three images — Three stories
In one shoot, we showed three types of French style:
-Bright and bold — with a red hat
-Restrained and mysterious — with a black coat and veil
-Ironic — with a beret, baguette, and vest,
every woman has the right to choose the heroine she recognizes herself in. Or try on all three roles in one walk.
Want the Same?
Take inspiration from Mila. A red hat, a flowing coat, a veil, or simply a perfectly fitted little black dress — every woman can try on the image of a refined Parisienne.
