Four Looks, One Photoshoot: Maria’s Story in Kharitonovsky Park Ekaterinburg
When I was a child, I loved fairy tales — I read every book in the school library. My friend and I would often wander into the forest and invent magical stories together. And now I feel the same joy when my models get inspired, and we create a fairy tale together.
Today I want to share the story of a photoshoot in Kharitonovsky Park Ekaterinburg. The story of how four different looks — and four moods — were born in a single session. One model, one location, four characters.
People often ask me: “How do I choose a look? How do I know what suits me?” I always say: let’s try. Photographer Svetlana Korneliuk helps her models discover sides of themselves they never noticed. And this session with Maria is the perfect example.
“In summer, you shouldn’t just take pretty portraits. Summer is the time to show the strength of your character.”
Look One: The Herbalist with a Sword
This is the first fairy tale born during Maria’s photoshoot.
We created the story of a herbalist girl who knows the language of every flower and heals wounds with moonlight brew. Her home is an ancient magical forest (Kharitonovsky Park), and her weapon is wisdom and knowledge of healing roots. But when dark forces invade her world, she pulls a magical sword from its sheath, hidden in the hollow of an old pine tree.
In this photoshoot, beauty and femininity intertwine with unbreakable strength and determination. The power of nature is diverse. Sometimes quiet, like summer rain. Sometimes ringing, like the clash of a sword against stone. This is a story about how every woman has both a healer and a warrior inside her. The one who knows how to be gentle but can also stand her ground.
In summer, when the sun shines for 17 hours a day and the greenery is so thick you could get lost in it like in a forest — these two halves awaken especially brightly.
Photographer Svetlana Korneliuk aimed to capture not just a look but a character. That inner strength that every woman possesses.
Look Two: The Fairy with a Rose
During the same session where we shot the herbalist with a sword, a second look emerged. Completely different in mood, but equally powerful.
Kharitonovsky Park in Ekaterinburg is a historical place. Ancient trees, light breaking through the canopy, creating a magical effect.
The fairy look: a white dress with wide sleeves, and over it — an almost weightless transparent cape with a hood. Sword or rose? It’s the detail that changes everything. With a sword — she’s the forest protector. With a rose — a gentle fairy, beautiful and authentic.
Summer beautiful photoshoots are about showing different sides of yourself. Today you can be soft and dreamy, and five minutes later — focused, confident, with fire in your eyes.
I especially enjoy working with creative models — those who love to fantasize, invent, and create. Because that’s when what’s born is not just a beautiful photo, but a real story, a theatrical fairy tale.
Look Three: The Vintage Lady
Maria’s third look. And it’s completely different in mood.
No magic. No drama. Just sun, greenery, and a woman enjoying the moment.
In the old Kharitonovsky Park, we found a corner where the foliage closes in so densely that it creates the feeling of a separate world. The city stays outside this green corridor.
A cherry-colored dress with a light ruby sheen doesn’t compete with the greenery — it befriends it. A wide-brimmed hat, pince-nez, and a book add a light vintage touch. Gloves turn a walk into an aesthetic statement. In this look, there’s no challenge, no question. Only calm, confidence, and serenity.
This is exactly what I want to convey in summer styled photoshoots. If you’re drawn to the aesthetic of old cinema, vintage details, and moments when you can slow down and be alone with nature — this look is for you.
When we were shooting, Maria wasn’t posing. She was just walking, sitting on a bench, looking up at the sun, adjusting her hat. The strongest shots came in those moments when she forgot about the camera. True beauty is born when a person is relaxed and trusts the moment. My job is to create those conditions — the camera does the rest.
Look Four: The Gentlest One
The fourth look from this session — the gentlest.
You know, the best shots always happen not at the beginning, when everyone is energetic and full of strength. But at the end. When the model is already tired, when we know we’ve captured everything we wanted, that it all worked out. And then relaxation sets in. The camera stops being something important.
Maria changed, adjusted her wide-brimmed hat, and draped a dusty rose-colored cape over her shoulders. White dress, light, greenery. And birdsong that words can’t convey.
In that moment, we relaxed. Maria touched the branches, gazed through the leaves, and breathed in the scent of lilac.
Many people think: “I don’t have a dress for the shoot,” “a hat won’t suit me,” “it’s too late to book.” And they’re wrong.
I’ve gathered a large collection. Dresses, hats, gloves, capes, accessories. I can put together a new look for your mood, for your character, for your light.
If you want a photoshoot “unlike anyone else’s”, if you feel that a fairy, a protector, or maybe a herbalist and healer lives inside you — write to me. I’ll tell you what story we can imagine and create together.
Or maybe it will be a modern street photoshoot in Ekaterinburg? Or a family photoshoot with children in the same park?
Summer is the time to try something new. The time to show different sides of yourself. And I help make that happen.
“True beauty is born when a person is relaxed and trusts the moment.”
If you’ve long wanted not just “photos for memory, ” but a story about yourself — real, strong, alive — write to me. Let’s create your fairy tale together.
