Old tree

 Now a larch “ the Guard of Olkhon”, which grows on an island on Lake Baikal ( 777 years old) is considered  as the oldest tree in Russia. Perhaps this miracle tree from  the Tver region is older?

   In the case when the tree is alive, the age determination is carried out by assessing the size of the tree and the estimated growth rate.      

There is a tree in the Tver Region that is about a thousand years old. This old pine tree remembers the Krivichi, whose settlements existed in these places in the VIII–XII centuries.
