The end of summer. This summer I had a lot of wonderful, soulful photo sessions, a lot of trips. Finally, I’m back home and I can sort out the photos.
The heroine of this photo shoot is Sofia, a student of the Boris Eifman Dance Academy. We planned to shoot her in nature, light, airy, magical area. We all liked the image of the Sylph, the goddess of the air: Sofia, her mom Victoria and, of course, me. Since I was on an active trip at that time, I looked at a lot of images of sylphs from the Internet, read the story “The Sylph” by Vladimir Odoevsky. Now, when I had the opportunity to watch the ballet “The Sylph” (recorded in 1997, where Nikolai Tsiskaridze and Nadezhda Pavlova dance!!!).
I was shocked at what magic happened on our shoot! I don’t know why we took a light scarf and started playing with it? The long light transparent scarf from the sorceress is а key importance in the ballet. And how good, that our “Sylph” threw away the scarf of the evil sorceress!
We got the Happy End in our performance! Dear Victoria and Sofia! How nice it is to create a fairy tale. We made this performance together! Thank you for these warm summer moments! I smile, remembering this shoot. I am happy that I can see how our little ballerina is growing and improving. Best wishes to you!
